Earlier this month, the Stickybeak team headed to Anaheim, California for Natural Products Expo West, one of the world’s biggest trade shows for natural, organic and healthy consumer products. With over 60,000 attendees and more than 3,000 exhibitors, the event brings together brands, retailers, innovators and investors to discover the next big thing in food, beverage and wellness.
Walking the show floor is like getting a glimpse into the future of FMCG. This year we saw a wave of high-protein reinventions (have we hit peak-protein yet?), functional beverages, ingredient transparency, and products designed around health and wellness benefits. These trends reflect a category that’s evolving fast, where consumers expect products to deliver both great taste and meaningful nutritional value.
Naturally, we couldn’t keep those insights to ourselves, nor resist asking consumers what they felt about these big trends.
