The tracker was first launched during Covid and the subsequent lockdowns to see how the industry was adapting and has become a more general check-in to supplement PRovoke’s annual Global Agency Rankings published in May each year.  Indeed the tracker has been a good lead indicator of agency end of financial year billings and some of the sector, region and discipline winners and losers.

For example, the tracker was the first empirical indication that lockdowns diverted PR spending from traditional corporate and consumer activity to much more value added employee, partner, supply chain and C suite communication services.

Similarly it presaged the talent war and subsequent salary and cost pressures.
